Throwback Thursday: The Chrysler 300 in 1955

The spacious Chrysler 300 has been on the road for quite some time. In fact, this year the sedan celebrates its 60th birthday, and judging from this model from decades past, the 300 hasn't lost it's flair of sophistication and full-size appeal.

For those looking for a dynamic sedan at an affordable price, the current 300 delivers with inspired style and performance. A big, bold grille, available 20-inch wheels, an all-powerful 363-horsepower V-8 engine, and available all-wheel drive provide desirable capability and attractive on-road looks. In 1955, the model was offered in black, white, or tango red, with a brown cowhide interior with a HEMI engine, and the first generation even sported fins, which were cut by 1962.
